This map shows Torbay Council's 91 Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs) and also the 49 Teignbridge and 4 South Hams LSOAs that together will make up the proposed new Torbay and South Devon local authority from April 2028.
You can select the overall Index of Multiple Deprivation 2025, or any of its domains, subdomains or indicators, and the map will show the corresponding deprivation via shading the 144 LSOAs from lightest least deprived to darkest most deprived.
At the top of the map, the overall, domain or subdomain decile (1=most deprived, 10 = least deprived) or indicator score for any particular LSOA is displayed.
NB. About 10% of the Broadhempston LSOA nearest Ashburton, and about two thirds of the Bridgetown LSOA (nearest Totnes) will be part of the proposed new Devon Council local authority from April 2028. The displayed descriptions of areas are to assist but are not official.
